The Caribbean Records Series is a book series published by the Jamaican Historical Society in collaboration with Open Book Publishers. The Society, founded in 1943, is a long-standing voluntary organisation in Jamaica that has long sought to preserve records of Caribbean history through their publication. The book series is primarily focused on publishing scholarly editions of primary sources relating to the history of the English-speaking Caribbean, from any time period. The book series will also consider volumes that are historical encyclopedias or gazetteers, calendars of primary sources, or archaeological reports. Scholarly editions that touch on the history of more than one territory are particularly welcome, as are those bringing to light underutilised sources. The Series Editorial Board welcomes tentative enquiries.
