Papers of the British School at Rome

Courtney Quaintance is Programmes Manager at the British School at Rome, where she coordinates activities across the Architecture, Humanities, and Fine Arts programmes and manages the School’s publications programme. She joined the BSR in 2023, following a career in academia and academic publishing. Previously Associate Professor of Italian at Dartmouth College, she specialises in early modern Italian musicology and literary-cultural history, with particular interests in women writers and singers, performance, and patronage.
