Argiopine Spiders of the World
Endorsements
Argiopine spiders are among the most recognizable spiders in the world—large, colorful, and widespread—yet the true diversity of their species, forms, and lifestyles is often surprising. This field guide brings together the most comprehensive collection of records on these fascinating spiders to date. Having worked with argiopines for many years, I greatly enjoyed reading it and even discovered species and details new to me. The effort required to compile information on species from across the globe must have been immense, but the result is a clear, practical guide: each species is described concisely yet informatively, with well-explained features for reliable field identification. Combined with its wealth of photographs and distribution maps, this book is an essential reference for spider enthusiasts and an ideal companion for exploring spiders in the wild.
