Anna Beresin recently published 'Play in a Covid Frame: Everyday Pandemic Creativity in a Time of Isolation', coedited with Julia Bishop, through Open Book Publishers. That book and one of her chapters were awarded two prestigious awards from the American Folklore Society. Dr. Beresin is the author of 'Recess Battles', 'The Art of Play', and 'The Character of Play', and has edited two other volumes, one on dance improvisation and one on the contributions of Dr. Brian Sutton-Smith, long considered one of the preeminent scholars in the field. Now Professor Emerita, Anna serves as coeditor of the 'International Journal of Play' and is known for really bad puns.
