Amany Abdelsadeq S. Hussein is an independent urban researcher with eleven years of experience as an architect and urban practitioner. She was a researcher for the Waikindi Initiative, a Nubian youth-led initiative aimed at reviving Nubian heritage and promoting knowledge of Nubian culture among Egyptians. Her professional experience as an urban practitioner has acquainted her with the interrelationship between physical and social aspects of urban policies and their impact on people’s everyday lives. Her main research interests are sustainable urban development, urban policies and cultural sustainability.
