Play at the Centre of Culture Change
- Anna Beresin (author)
In our previous chapters, we read about equity for women and girls, for migrants, for colonized peoples, for under resourced communities in a time of renewed divisiveness. As programs were unmade by funding cuts, by erosion of materials, by prejudice, these leaders and their teams remade the programs with alternative funding, recycled materials, new collaborations. The conclusion returns to the original challenges presented by the UNICEF document mentioned in the introduction: demographic change, the environmental crisis, and changing forms of work. Play is presented in its complexity as a tool of culture change for children and as a focus for culture change for our communities.
